About Me

I’m an 8th grader at Stratford School in the Bay Area, California. I was born in the United States in 2012, and I’m proud to be an Asian American growing up in one of the most dynamic and diverse parts of the country. Living in the Bay Area has given me access to great schools, inspiring people, and an incredible sports culture that has shaped who I am today.

From a young age, I’ve always been curious about how things work — whether it’s solving a math problem, experimenting in science class, or writing code to make something new on the computer. My favorite subjects are Math, Science, and Computer Science, because they allow me to think critically, explore patterns, and build things that connect ideas together.

But beyond academics, there’s one passion that stands out for me — basketball. I’ve been playing the sport for over three years, and it has become an important part of my daily life. I’m part of a couple of basketball clubs where I train and play competitively multiple times a week. Each practice pushes me to become stronger, more focused, and more disciplined. The game has taught me lessons that go far beyond the court — like teamwork, leadership, perseverance, and respect for others.

One of my favorite things to do with my dad is watch live basketball games. The excitement of being in the Chase Center, hearing the roar of the crowd, and watching the precision and energy of professional players up close is something I’ll never forget. As a Bay Area native, my home team is the Golden State Warriors, and I’m a huge fan of Stephen Curry. His dedication, humility, and relentless work ethic inspire me both on and off the court.

I’ve also had the chance to watch other NBA legends like Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Luka Dončić, and Jayson Tatum play live. Seeing these world-class athletes perform at the highest level makes me wonder — what truly sets them apart?

About This Website

That question sparked the idea behind this website. I wanted to combine my interests in sports and technology to build something meaningful — a platform that helps explore and understand the game I love through data and analytics.

This website looks at basketball from a different angle — not just as a sport, but as a system of numbers, strategy, and performance. I’ve designed it to showcase player statistics, team records, scoring trends, and even compensation data, helping fans see how individual performances and team strategies come together to create success.

I also wanted to explore how great teams can be built efficiently — without going overboard on cost — by analyzing what truly drives performance and team chemistry.

To me, coding this site is just like playing basketball — it takes patience, problem-solving, and teamwork. Every new feature I build or dataset I analyze feels like a new skill learned on the court. Both activities give me the same sense of satisfaction when things finally “click.”

Looking Ahead

This project isn’t just about stats or sports — it’s also about curiosity, learning, and sharing what I love with others. I hope this website becomes a place where people — especially kids my age — can discover how data and technology make sports even more engaging and insightful.

Basketball has taught me that success is never just about talent — it’s about focus, hard work, and collaboration. I want this website to reflect that same spirit.

My dream is for this project to not only showcase the beauty of the game but also inspire others to explore their own passions — whether that’s in sports, science, or technology — with the same energy and enthusiasm.
